Adonis Cherub

In soft lamp on my polyester pillow

O wind blows… blood flows…

Washed laundry waits

Pensive and crumpled…

Wanted texts halt my pen in surprise

Ye charisma sings from the phone in my grasp

Stirring a pulse within my ribs,

The start of a sonnet…

O thou lively gladiator, eros sweet like pure honey

You increase my body’s hum, steady as a Haier drier.

Mulling John Keats and pondering tomorrow

Many passions brood in my mind

Tonight, they’re to you…

O while one string of thought flies out, capturing beauties

I slowly tie it all together in a bow

One to return to later...

Once morrow's luncheon’s made,

Laundry's hung up on the clothing horse...

I’ll lay snug in my sheets once more,

Bracing for a sleep so gentle.

I’ll slowly undo thou…

Click and roll the imaginary film,

Soft and gentle…

Quiet whimpers will be heard by the bedroom spiders

The house will quiver from a low magnitude quake.

iPhone 13 will make love to the wall…

Muji pen will be in its cave, the drawer…

Pheromones swimming up to the ceiling

I flick the light off, lay back and

See –

My consciousness resting in your broad chest,

Adonis Cherub

Stead-strong through Gods' weather,

While Earth spins on its axis through space.

Happy Valentine's Day.
